SORTS RATE CHANGE

Beginning October 1, 2021, all Farebox Rates for City rides will be $2.00 except for children under 5. Children under 5 will ride for free.

County rides up to 15 miles will be $5.00. For county rides beyond 15 miles please call the county dispatch office for pricing. Ticket purchases will be blue tickets only at $2.00 per ticket.

SORTS provides for all transit needs such as rides to work, school, shopping, medical appointments, dining or just visiting friends. SORTS vehicles meet ADA requirements with wheelchair-accessible vans and buses available in all areas of service. SORTS complies with all ADA requirements including operator-assisted relay services for persons with hearing or speech impairments.

All our drivers are trained in safety, have background checks, pass random drug and alcohol testing, have clean driving records and possess a valid CDL/and medical card with passenger endorsement. 

General hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, Sooner Ride and Work routes are scheduled outside our primary service hours including weekends and evenings.  Additional public transportation is also available outside traditional hours as required and all are open to the public. 

Trips outside the service area or beyond traditional service hours will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis and will be based on but not limited to $2.25 per mile. This fee may be lowered or raised based on time and distance. An hourly cost may be used of $45.00/or more per hour depending on time and distance for deadhead miles.

New SORTS BusServices are provided within city limits from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please schedule rides 24 hours in advance if possible with a minimum of 1-hour notice.

Towns outside the city limits are served one day per week.

Sooner Ride and Work routes are scheduled outside primary service hours including weekends and evenings. Additional public transportation is also available outside traditional hours as required and all open to the public.

SORTS provides transportation links to Interstate transportation carriers in all the counties we serve. Anyone wishing transportation to or from interstate carriers should call our office for availability and schedules at the numbers below. Links to and from interstate carriers in Ardmore are also available and can be accessed by calling the number listed for your area.

Notifying the Public of Rights Under Title VI

SORTS operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with SORTS.
