Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

LOVE/MARSHALL COUNTY RSVP

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) enables individuals age 55 and older to find service opportunities in the Love/Marshall County communities.  RSVP participants serve non-profit organizations that range from hospitals and youth recreation centers to local museums, education facilities and other non-profit organizations.

RSVP volunteers benefit the community on a regular basis in a variety of settings throughout their communities.  They provide a rich array of options from addressing the full spectrum of community needs while working for just a few hours a month to over forty hours a week.

While many seniors are volunteering and giving back to their local community, more seniors would be motivated to volunteer if they were presented with rewarding opportunities that better fit their daily lives.   We capitalize on the opportunities that have been afforded within our local community, supporting meaningful ways for all seniors to serve.

Love/Marshall County RSVP Volunteers provide America with an example of the best in our country’s spirit of volunteering!

RSVP BENEFITS

  • A bi-monthly newsletter -- The Busy Senior News -- mailed to each volunteer.
  • Reimbursement to volunteers for mileage to and from their volunteer assignments.
  • All RSVP volunteers are covered by Accident and Personal Liability Insurance while on an RSVP volunteer assignment.
  • Annual Recognition & Awards Banquet.
  • Exciting trips to educational and entertaining parts of our state and counties.
  • RSVP gives an individual the opportunity to give back to their community and share their talents and skills with others.

OUR MISSION
